January is School Board Recognition Month and Hidalgo ISD is celebrating its trustees for their dedication, and commitment to the district and its students.
The theme of this year’s School Board Recognition Month is ‘Forward Together’, which highlights the collaboration among school leadership, teachers, and parents on behalf of students.
This month we like to recognize the efforts and leadership of our school board members; Norma Torres - President, Benjamin Arjona - Vice President, Rafael Garza - Secretary, Martin Carrasco - Treasurer, Luis Trejo Jr.- Member, Raymundo Martinez - Member, and Yesenia Ayala - Member. We appreciate all the hard work trustees put in to making our district a success by providing support, ensuring accountability, and providing community leadership as advocates for children, parents, and the school district.
School board members are an essential key to the success of students and the future of Hidalgo ISD. Trustees lead the district in the right direction, providing oversight, setting goals, overseeing the budget, and evaluating the superintendent. The board members ensure that Hidalgo ISD is responsive to the values, beliefs, and priorities of the community.
Hidalgo ISD would like to thank our Board of Trustees for all the hard work to make Hidalgo ISD the place to be! It is because of their leadership and dedication that our community is not only successful but thriving! We are looking at a brighter new year and all we will accomplish, as we move FORWARD, TOGETHER.
